About
After an M.Sc. in mathematical logic, I am nowadays trying to bring the (old) news of the cognitive revolution to the philosophy of mathematics.
From the cognitive-science viewpoint, the mainstream "logical", mathematical-language-based foundations approach seems awfully behaviouristic. Considering mathematical _ontology_ as part of the mental realm, which should ultimately be grounded in the mechanical, has dire implications for mathematics (as currently conceived).
These "cognitive" sentiments have of course been here at least since Kant, with heavy technical manifestations by intuitionists & constructivists. Yet surprisingly-little has been done with actual regard to this new, vigorously-blooming new scientific field.
This, at large, is the background for the more technical, "meaty" directions I am pursuing.
